Shanghai launches 100-day IP protection for 5th CIIE
Shanghai in East China on Aug 1 launched a 100-day action plan for intellectual property – IP –protection to cover the 5th China International Import Expo, or CIIE. The expo runs from Nov 5 to 10.
Under the plan – which runs to Nov 10 – the city will provide comprehensive protection for CIIE covering judicial protection, administrative law enforcement, arbitration and mediation and complaints handling.
Under the plan, judicial protection and inter-department coordinated protection will be strengthened. Moreover, artificial intelligence and digital technologies will be used in that protection.
The plan also includes improvements to the mechanism for resolving disputes in multiple ways – giving full play to the role of the World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Shanghai Service.
The plan also puts forward the integration of publicity and voluntary work, to create a sound environment for IP protection in Shanghai.
